Dana Philippi

President of the Garry Owen House

Mr. Philippi is a United States Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam era. He worked for over seven years at the West Haven VAMC hospital in West Hartford, CT, and served as the Liberty Fire Chief for 10 years. He was previously a board member of the Regional Red Cross, Waldo CAP, and LIberty Volunteer Ambulance (where he also drove as needed); and currently serves as the president of the local historical society. He retired from the Maine STate Health and Enviornmental Testing Laboratory. His value is to assist in the development and continued program implementation of the Garry Owen House and volunteers approximately 20-30 hours a month to the project.

 

Donald Harriman

Vice President of the Garry Owen House

Mr. Harriman is a United States Army Veteran. He is a plumbing and heating contractor, plumbing inspector and Code Enforcement Officer for multiple towns. His value is to assist in the development and continued program implementation of the Garry Owen House and volunteers approximately 12-15 hours a month to the project.

Robert Harrington

Secretary of the Garry Owen House

Mr. Harrington is a United States Navy Veteran having served from 2000 to 2006 as a Fire Control man. He received a B.S. in Earth Science from The University of Maine and an M.S. in Marine Science from The University of San Diego. He is currently an aquaculture researcher for the University of Maine and lives in Liberty, ME were he volunteers for the Garry Owen House. His value is to assist in the development and continued program implementation of the Garry Owen House and volunteers approximately 10 hours a month to the project.

 

Heather Carle

Treasurer of the Garry Owen House

Ms. Carle has a BS in forensic accounting and holds a Maine Investigators License. She works as a bookkeeper and a financial investigator. Her value is to assist in the development and continued program implementation of the Garry Owen House and volunteers approximately 10-15 hours a month to the project.

Lou Pelletier

Director of the Garry Owen House

Mr. Pelletier is a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He has been a member of state, local and regional boards whose functions include establishing and overseeing services for children and adults with communications impairments. He has developed and was director of a hospital-sponsored community speech and hearing center. His value is to assist in the development and continued program implementation of the Garry Owen House and volunteers approximately 10-15 hours a month to the project.

Warren Ard

Director of the Garry Owen House

Mr. Ard is a United States Army Veteran. He is a general contractor licensed in multiple states and is President of Warren and Warren Associates and founding member of the Garry Owen House. His value is to assist in the development and continued program implementation of the Garry Owen House and volunteers approximately 15-20 hours a month to the project.

Dennis Urick

Director of the Garry Owen House

Lt. Col. Urick is a United States Army Veteran, having served 23 years before retiring in 1991. He has a BS in Management from the American Technological University and is a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College. He was chairman of the Belfast Historical Preservation Committee 1998-2000 and served on the Belfast Historical Society Board of Directors. He is currently a Mentor for the Restorative Justice Program. He is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Vietnam Helicopters Association and the Distinguished Flying Cross Society. His value is to assist in the development and continued program implementation of the Garry Owen House and volunteers approximately 10-15 hours a month to the project.

Gene Kelly

Director of the Garry Owen House

Mr. Kelly is a United States Navy veteran. He is retired from general contracting. He has served on the board of Knox County Head Start and local non-profits. His value is to assist in the development and continued program implementation of the Garry Owen House and volunteers approximately 10-15 hours a month to the project.

Shawna Barnes

Director of the Garry Owen House

Mrs. Barnes is a United States Army Veteran having served as a combat medic with 3ID in the United States Army from 2007-2011 before being medically retired. She is the senior graphic designer and owner of a small independent print shop in Belfast, Maine, IMAGES Belfast, LLC. Her value is to assist with the marketing materials, digital assets, website management and development of the Garry Owen House and volunteers approximately 15-20 hours a month to the project.

Neil Polis

Sargent at Arms of the Garry Owen House
